Defence Consultant/Technical Account Lead - Southwest
- Locations: Southwest - Cheltenham, Bristol, Cardiff UK - Flexible/Remote first. Travel around the Southwest will be required.
- Clearance Type: Eligible/Willing to under go SC security clearance. Active SC clearance is desired but not essential,
- Salaries: Up to £100,000 + Benefits
Searchability NS&D are proud to be supporting UK leaders within National Security & Defence as they look to welcome a Defence Consultant/Technical Account Lead into their team.
This position with a specialist software consultancy that designs and develops mission-critical data management and analytics software for the UK's central intelligence community. The role will be focussed on continuing the success of my clients Defence business stream and specifically creating a Defence specific Technical Strategy focussing on the MOD and related partners, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with key technical stakeholders within customers and suppliers.
Knowledge:
- Passion for emerging technologies (e.g. AI/ML, quantum computing) with an understanding of new trends/capabilities and delivery best-practice (e.g. Agile)
- Knowledge of the MOD or related departments (Defence Digital and StratComm customer landscape is advantageous).
- Working knowledge of a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components.
Experience:
- Experience in a Senior Technical Leadership role, specifically working with the MoD,
- Led the implementation of complex software solutions including architecture, design, development and testing.
- Highly competent in using tools such as GitLab which help monitor and ensure software quality and security.
- Experience in deploying complex software systems to a mixture of environments (ideally technical capability development).
Skills:
- Business winning mindset demonstrated through supporting the Defence Stream in engaging with prospective customers and leading the overall technical pre-sales bid activities.
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key technical stakeholders and championing their requirements within IIG.
- Supporting the management of customer relationships ensuring we meet client goals while achieving company commercial objectives.
- Leading the technical solution of bids and drafting content as required.
Due to the industries this role will be associated with, we require the successful candidate to be eligible for security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British Citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
