DENTAL PRACTICE MANAGER - BROMBOROUGH, WIRRAL
Allport Dental Practice is looking for a full time & experienced Dental Practice Manager.
We are a well-established, mixed, independently owned and growing practice based in Bromborough, Wirral.
As a Practice Manager, your role will include:
- Efficient day to day managing of the practice - Leading on all Practice operations - reception duties, managing the team of support staff, including nurses, TCO, receptionists, administrator and supporting the Principal Dentist as required.
- Driving and developing the Practice and its performance – including striving to meet our business objectives and contractual targets, our financial / income generation targets, our marketing and sales objectives, and managing Practice Key Performance Indicators;
- Operational lead on all HR and staffing matters - including staff recruitment and selection, staff contracts, induction, training and appraisal management; staff issue, staff rota
- Operational lead on treatment coordination and patient care management – developing a successful workflow and ensuring our patients receive the best possible ‘care & customer experience’ whilst visiting the Practice; Maintaining the practice's reputation;
- Operational lead on Practice ICT infrastructure/systems and Practice management software sysems.
- Operational lead on all key relationships with contracted and potential future suppliers (including but not limited to cleaning contractors, grounds maintenance contractors, ICT contractors, dental software providers, dental equipment suppliers/providers, and building contractors)
- overseeing and Managing Practice compliance, policies and procedures – supporting our compliance lead. This is done through Apolline Compliance, in accordance to the requirements of regulatory bodies such as the CQC and NHS England.
- Manage practice controllable costs in line with budgets
MUST HAVE:
- Proven management expertise in a dental setting; at least 3- years Management experience required in a dental setting.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent leadership skills with extremely high standards
- Proven commercial awareness and business / business development acumen.
- Able to demonstrate strategies that are proven in relation to dental growth
- Motivation and drive to inspire and support the team members and practice to succeed and grow.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - including the ability to manage relationships with colleagues, clinical professionals, patients, senior management, and contracted suppliers/partners;
- A team player but who can work independently;
- An excellent communicator with a passion for helping people and growing teams;
- A positive and friendly personality;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Passionate about Dentistry and enjoys constantly learning and developing your role;
- Outstanding organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise important deadlines while reacting quickly to business needs;
- Calm with an ability to work under pressure;
- Computer literate essential and Software of Excellence experience essential
