We are seeking to recruit a Design Engineer to join a leading engineering / manufacturing company who are at the forefront of aviation ground support equipment manufacturing. Their commitment to innovation and excellence has positioned them as a trusted partner in the aerospace industry. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented Design Engineer to work on their sites in either Co. Tyrone and/or Co. Down.
Your new role
As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ground support equipment. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualise, design, and develop cutting-edge solutions. You will contribute to creating detailed engineering specifications for mechanical systems, components, and ground support equipment. You will be expected to conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping to ensure optimal performance and safety. Leveraging your expertise to enhance existing designs and drive innovation.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Have proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD) an have experience working on ground support equipment, avionics hardware, or related aerospace systems. We are seeking applicants with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
