Design Engineer

Your new company
We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our client who is a leading producer of food production equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in producing detailed designs and drawings using SolidWorks software.
Your new role
In this role, you will collaborate with senior designers and technicians to manage projects, with a focus on cost reduction and cycle time optimisation for existing plant equipment and utilise 3D and 2D software tools, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD. As part of your new role, you will also create specific Bills of Materials (BOMs), layouts, and fabrication drawings for various projects as well as manage communication with customers and suppliers regarding design specifics, aesthetics, and plant requirements. You will be expected to participate in research and development projects.
What you'll need to succeed
Mechanical Engineering and have at least 2 years of post-graduate design experience in a precision engineering environment. We are looking for candidates with proficiency in SolidWorks, analysis programs, and the Microsoft suite.
