Design Engineer

We require a skilled Design Engineer with some Project Management and Customer Service skills to provide design consultancy and manage engineering, manufacturing, construction projects to our client base across the UK and abroad. If you're a skilled user of Autodesk / AutoCAD and have some exposure to the manufacturing, engineering or construction sectors - we'll offer hybrid working from our office in Warminster.

BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION:Design Engineer, Project Engineer - Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Sheet Metal

As our Design Engineer / Project Engineer, you will be managing circa 20 live projects at various stages and levels of complexity. Split between relatively straightforward UK based projects (which are more logistics than anything else), design led UK projects that feature additional customisation and export projects – working with global distribution partners - the latter requiring more attention than the former.

You will be working alongside highly experienced Technical Sales / Project Managers who will be a resource to mentor and develop you as you learn the intricacies of this niche sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Design Engineer, Project Engineer - Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Sheet Metal

Acting as a hub between internal sales, design and manufacturing departments – and the customer’s various stakeholders, as our Design Engineer / Project Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring all parties are up to date on the status and logistics. Your technical understanding will allow you to add value and context – whilst also being a credible ‘face of the company’ throughout the course of the projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:Design Engineer, Project Engineer - Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Sheet Metal

· You will have exposure to 2D / 3D design packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor or Solidworks etc.
· You’ll have an understanding of a manufacturing process or construction and specifically some experience of sheet metal fabrication.
· You will have some experience of providing project management or project engineering support to both internal and external stakeholders related to a technical product, engineering or construction service.
