About the role:
We're looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to work on LBG’s Design System in a multi-disciplinary agile team. The candidate will be working closely with designers to produce, document, maintain, and enhance React UI components with the highest attention to detail.
As a Design System Developer, your key accountabilities, responsibilities & deliverables will be:

• Prototyping and development of reusable web components with a strong focus on Accessibility, usability and multi-brand theming
• Maintaining our colleague-facing documentation website
• Passion for technology and writing clean, maintainable & performant code
• Writing test scripts, code reviews and technical documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of shared code libraries and collaborate with other technology teams
• Contribute to design of features
• Participate in the agile process to produce rapid delivery of customer features
• Understand and apply industry best practices, foster knowledge sharing to provide solutions for complex business problems where no precedent may exist, and ensure implementation of solutions where appropriate
• Regularly support engineers across LBG, providing clear and constructive feedback and building opportunities for learning and growth.
• Focus on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles

Must have skills:

• JavaScript (es6/es7)
• React
• HTML/CSS
• Eye for design/UX and passionate about improving customer experience
• AA WCAG Accessibility

Desirable skills:

• TypeScript
• Node.js
• Jest/Enzyme
• Previous experience of working on Design Systems
• CI/CD
