SalaryWe are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Application Engineer with cloud experience to join our client who is a leading provider of logistics software. As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and play a crucial role in supporting and evolving our infrastructure.
Office based in Edinburgh - very flexible although looking for candidates within a commutable distance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a reliable, secure, and high-quality service.
- Support development teams in deploying code to production environments.
- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Act promptly to restore service during incidents.
- Bridge the gap between Development and Operations by solving complex problems.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant commercial experience in application development.
- Proficiency in working with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line interface.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Solid understanding of application development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and systems.
