We are looking for a talented Digital Designer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join the growing digital team.

THE ROLE

Working as part of a cross-functional team, you will develop digital design approaches and solutions to solve client challenges and define the behaviour and rules of a new brand identity. Primarily this will be web design, but can and will extend to the design of intranet systems, comms (email, chat, social), interactive experiences, mobile applications and other digital mediums.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop creative design solutions led by creative briefs and evolving new or existing brand identities for digital experiences and communication.
  • Create responsive website design solutions alongside our UX and UI designers
  • Design a range of other digital design solutions including, but not limited to, designs for: intranet systems, comms (email, chat, social), interactive experiences, mobile applications and other digital forms.
  • Development of digital design assets, for example photography selection, graphic designs etc.
  • Input into design ideation and creative development workshops.
  • Work closely with brand designers and strategists to help evolve the foundational aspects of a brand identity system from a digital perspective.
  • Present design solutions to clients with an ability to solicit input and constructive feedback.
  • Provide intelligent and valued insights into design best practices, modern design approaches and design inspiration to help drive the quality and opportunity in our design work.
  • Support in the development of materials for pitches.

Skills you’ll need:
  • Able to think creatively, conceptually and strategically.
  • Be able to create a range of digital design solutions.
  • Experience in working on all phases of a project; from supporting pitch work, to understanding a creative brief, to delivering a design system and responsive design solutions.
  • Experience in delivering a wide range of project types; from small, rapid projects through to large-scale programmes.
  • Strong presentation skills, visual and written. Confident explaining designs and solutions to the wider team and clients.
  • Demonstratable experience working on projects across a range of mediums, for example: mobile applications, responsive web, product and service design.
  • Expertise using industry standard design and prototyping tools – Figma is our core tool. Having a strong practical working understanding of this tool is essential. Familiarity with the wider Adobe suits is also beneficial.
  • Good working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.
  • Be a self-starting, confident person. With the ability and willingness to pick-up briefs, identify requirements and challenges, and pro-actively work to solve these.
  • Be comfortable working within a small but growing team.

Nice to have skills:
  • Previous experience working on B2B projects and brand identities.
  • Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field, such as Graphic Design, Digital Design, Interaction Design, etc.
  • A broad understanding of and interest in brand strategy would be invaluable.
  • Experience in digital motion design would be beneficial.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to apply to this role opening, you must be able to clearly demonstrate the following:
  • That you have 5+ years of delivering digital designs within cross-functional teams within an agency environment – be it consultancy, marketing or advertising agency.
  • That you have worked on web design projects for large multi-national corporations delivering responsive, complex design solutions.
  • That you have strong experience in delivering digital design solutions for a wide range of clients and types of brands.
  • That you have developed creative approaches across a wide range of digital solutions (web, mobile, interactive, VR, AR, etc) and experience in working to help form digital brand systems.
  • That you are able to work in a cross-functional team with strategists, UX designs, UI designers, copywriters, developers and project managers
  • That you are not exclusively a product or UI designer. Variety is vital.

As part of the interview process you will be required to:
  • Submit a portfolio of at least 3 relevant commercial projects you’ve been involved in as a Digital Designer– the portfolio can be in whatever format you prefer (document, website, etc)
  • Complete a simple digital design skills assessment
  • Present 3+ relevant work examples from your portfolio. Demonstrating your creative approach to the project, your role within the team you worked in, and the design process you following through to achieve the final solution
  • If successful at your first interview; be willing to meet a member of the team in-person in central London (exceptions will be considered) for the second interview
  • Provide 2 professional references that can confirm your abilities in the relevant skill areas
