Around 3.5 million people in the UK live with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Over 68,000 are treated for end-stage kidney failure, relying on dialysis or a transplant to keep them alive. Treatments are gruelling and relentless and impact the patients’ ability to work, maintain social interaction and live the life they choose. For over 45 years, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by kidney disease.
Promoting better outcomes for people living with kidney disease, we actively seek applications from people who live with CKD or who have experience of the condition as a family member or healthcare professional.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to plan, write and revise content for the Kidney Care UK website, with a focus on identifying content gaps and opportunities.
The Digital Executive will follow SEO best practice and use analytics tools to review and report on our content performance.
As we continue our process of digital transformation, the post holder will support colleagues with UX analysis and recommendations and work closely with internal and external digital stakeholders to develop our website as the best online destination for information, support and community for everyone affected by kidney disease.
You will work with multiple members of the Marketing and Communications team, as well as various teams across the charity, providing insight to help shape and inform the work of Kidney Care UK as well as having regular content creation responsibilities.
The Digital Executive will be managed by our Head of Digital and Content. The Digital and Content team are part of the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications Directorate, led by the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications. You will have no line management responsibilities.
The structure of our team is flat – we don’t believe in hierarchies based on job titles. You will have the opportunity to work with and influence everyone in the team, regardless of their seniority.
