Digital Marketing And Social Media Executive

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing and Social Media Executive to join our team. This position is perfect for someone passionate about student engagement, Social Media, and Digital Marketing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and editing our website, promoting student events to a widely diverse student population, and engaging with students through various platforms.  This is a new and exciting position based on site and where no two days are the same.

You will

• Lead the development and execution of an evidence-driven marketing  and branding strategy.
• Measure and report on the performance of all Digital Marketing campaigns.
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our website and Social Media accounts.
• Lead and coordinate the SU communications, Marketing and brand activity to ensure a consistent, authentic, student-led message.
• Oversee key communication campaigns, such as Elections and Freshers' Weeks, and other events and activities taking place across the SU
• Have overall responsibility for the SU website, ensuring that content is accurate and up to date, maintaining and improving its functionality, and liaising with our website provider as necessary.

About you

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject such as Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Successful track record in a Digital Marketing and Social Media role (min 2 years).
• Experience of designing and maintaining a successful website.
• Understanding of key principles branding.
• Positive mindset, flexible and adaptable to change.
• Able to work occasional evenings or weekends.
• Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload
• Excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity and commitment to equality and diversity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
