Reed Finance are delighted to be support a leading Public Sector body to support in the recruitment of an interim Finance Director role. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of strategy by providing strategic financial input and ensuring robust financial controls.
Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial advice and support to the Senior Leadership Team
- Oversee the development and operation of financial, procurement, and research support management information systems
- Manage relationships with auditors, bankers, insurance providers, and other advisors
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Manage the operational activities of the Finance Division staff and their professional development
- Chartered Accountant
- Demonstrated experience in a senior financial role
- Ability to provide strategic financial advice and support at a senior level
- Experience in preparing financial reports and managing relationships with external bodies
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a finance team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
