Lorien's client, a luxury lifestyle hospitality brand, are looking for a Finance Director to join their Edinburgh based hotel.

This is a key role for the hotel, reporting directly to the General Manager, leading a team and responsible for achieving profitability targets, budgeting, forecasting, maximising cash flow, and advising management on strategic performance.

What the role consists of:

Operational Management: compiling, reviewing, and maintaining finance reports, analysing variances and trends, recognising, and advising on opportunities to optimise and ensure full regulatory compliance.

Finance & Forecasting; working closely with the senior leadership team and general manager for revenue and cost forecasts, ensuring accurate predictions and driving budget efficiency.

Business Leadership; effectively developing the accounting team, contributing towards a positive workplace culture, maintaining relationships with all stakeholders, and leading by example as a senior leader within the business.

Project and Process Management; drive continuous improvement of financial systems, overseeing implementations of new systems, collaborating cross-function, and assisting to develop and execute projects to achieve their given objectives.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have strong finance operations experience within the hospitality sector, as well being self-motivated and driven to achieve success. The role requires someone who is an effective communicator, can manage and lead the finance function, dealing with multiple stakeholders, and can think strategically, analysing and advising the management team towards a shared vision of profitability.
