As part of this successful, global organisation, the European business division now requires an experienced Director of Digital Platforms, who will have responsibility for leading the development and execution of the digital platform strategy, driving digital transformation and optimising digital capabilities.
The business has operational activities throughout various market regions within Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, generating a multi-billion pound annual turnover from some of today’s most recognised brands.
There will be an element of flexible/ remote working with this role.
The Role:
Reporting to the Senior VP of E-commerce, the Director of Digital Platformswill have responsibility for leveraging digital technologies and innovating solutions to enhance consumer engagement, improve operational efficiency and drive revenue growth.
In addition, as the Director of Digital Platformsyou will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- leading the digital platform strategies and the driving transformation of the online experience strategy and operating model
- overseeing digital investments, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless integration of Digital initiatives with overall business objectives
- playing a significant part in developing and delivering the E-business strategy
- implementing web platforms for both B2B and DTC platforms, along with other digital tools
- delivering the best possible online experience for customers and partners
Operating at a strategic level, as the Director of Digital Platforms you will be required to devise, implement and influence at all levels throughout the region.
The Candidate:
Ideally of graduate standard, from within a commercial, technical or solutions-based sales and marketing discipline, candidates for the role of Director of Digital Platforms will also be required to demonstrate that they have:
- previous work experience implementing e-Business and driving both internal and external adoption
- sound technical expertise with particular emphasis on web, analytics, mobile, search and e-commerce
- experience of managing digital products, including backlog creation, user stories, user journey creation
- an understanding and experience of working on the following platforms Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Commerce (Magento), HCL commerce
- sound knowledge and understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, Tag manager
- excellent comprehension of the digital development process
- experience of developing and articulating customer journeys
- strong project and change management skills, with knowledge of agile project management
- previous experience of ownership and budgetary control

Candidates for the Director of Digital Platformsrole should note that there will be frequent travel throughout the European region with this role. European language skills would also be a benefit, but are not essential.
