SalaryThe Finance and Operations Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, developing and implementing operational strategies, and ensuring the efficient and effective management of our clubs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial acumen, and a passion for sports and community building.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Manage cash flow, financial risks, and capital expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate closely with our founders and board of directors to support strategic analysis and planning, transforming strategies into budgets and actionable plans, effectively delegated and tracked across a diverse team.
- Monitor the market environment to identify and act on business opportunities in collaboration with the CEO.
- Implement and manage operational tasks related to the business.
- Build infrastructure and management systems, along with a playbook to handle multi-club growth.
The successful candidate:
- A Qualified Accountant - ACA, ICAS or ACCA with at least 5 years post qualifications.
- Financial management experience, including setting and managing budgets and forecasts, presenting analysis and sound commercial decision-making.
- Experience FP&A, MI, financial systems, cash management, financial reporting and regulatory reporting.
- Some commercial experience in a Finance Manager / Director level role leading a team of 3 - 5 people required (ideally in a hospitality and/or leisure business, start-up or high-growth business) to ensure that you can see the 'bigger’ picture.
- Solid and demonstrable experience working with CEO/Founder and being their 'righthand’ person and ability to bring commercial insights and delivery experience to an impact-led environment.
- Experience with Enterprise Software Accounting solutions ideally in Xero.
