Fantastic opportunity to join ourAWE Leadership team as the new Director of HR.
In this role you will act as astrategic partner leading the HR business partner team, playing a crucial rolein aligning the organisation’s people strategy with business objectives.Fostering a strong corporate culture, implementing strategic workforceplanning, performance focus and innovation, this role is instrumental inpromoting employee development, satisfaction and engagement. The role willidentify opportunities for overall efficiency, workforce transformation andensure the business operates in accordance with organisational behaviours andpurpose.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development of thePeople Strategy and plans for functional area of the business, working withExecutive Directors, HR business partners and HR Centres of Excellence’s asrequired.
- Provide direction, support,coaching and training to Executive and Business leaders to deliver the peoplestrategy and plan.
- Own the strategic workforce planinitiatives plan, driving delivery to plan and facilitating risk optioneering discussions.
- Identify internal and externaltrends and commission strategic analysis and recommendations from the wider HRteam, including external benchmarking to facilitate key people recommendationsand decisions that deliver the people aspects of the business plan.
- As part of the HR SeniorLeadership team drive cultural change both within the function and acrossAWE.
- Initiate, sponsor and directstrategic HR project delivery, managing change for specific projects andinitiatives that deliver business value.
- Drive succession planning forDirectors & senior leaders, ensuring linkage across all functional areas.
- Act as an interface between theAWE business and HR function to ensure alignment and delivery of strategicinitiatives and service delivery to meet demands and commercialobjectives.
- Provide leadership and managementto the HRBP team, developing and maintaining the right culture to retain anddevelop staff, serve the needs of the business and promote customer serviceexcellence.

- Knowledge of employment law,compensation, organisation planning, organisation development, leadership andtalent development.
Qualifications and/orprofessional memberships - CIPD or equivalent HR qualification.
Location –Reading and surrounding areas.
