Job Description
As the Director of Marketing and Brand, this is a crucial role in achieving the charities growth and income targets. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the development and execution of the organisations Marketing and Brand strategy, working collaboratively with teams across the organisation.The role will focus on creating impactful Marketing and communication campaigns to drive awareness of the charities brand and products within the education sector. You'll be at the fore front of establishing the organisation as a market leader in teacher training, professional development, and school improvement.The successful applicant will manage a sizeable team of 13, composed of creative experts across marketing, content creation, brand, and digital channels. Your leadership will empower the team to excel, ensuring they achieve their objectives and contribute to the charities mission.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you'll provide strong, values-based leadership in every aspect of your role. You'll be an effective advocate for organisations mission and play a key role in promoting engaging people management, inclusion and professionalism.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Director of Marketing and Brand should have:
- Experience setting and delivering an effective marketing strategy for a national organisation.
- Experience of driving success against challenging B2B and B2C sales targets.
- Confidence and skill in using and analysing data to inform and shape an organisations overall communications and marketing approach.
- Proven experience of developing and delivering a digital marketing strategy that has significantly increased reach and revenue.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills, and the ability to present complex information clearly and succinctly to a range of audiences.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop consistently a high-performing Marketing and communications team.
- Experience of matrix working, building collaborative and consultative relationships with a range of internal stakeholders, and working to align varied, often competing, interests.
- Experience of managing a complex workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Track record of effective and visible senior leadership, promoting and demonstrating the organisation's values.
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

- Deep knowledge of the education sector and national education stakeholders.
- Experience of leading on mass marketing in the education sector.
