Job description

The Director, Brand Strategy at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) plays a vital role in shaping and running global, brand-led, thematic multi-year cross-LSEG marketing campaigns to drive value and enhance LSEG’s reputation. This role optimises impact on key customer segments, oversees brand guardianship, assures brand governance, and shapes the customer experience, promoting adherence to organizational CX capability.This role will sit within LSEG’s Corporate Affairs and Marketing (CAM) team and report into the group director of Brand Engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Development of LSEG Brand Strategy and Architecture: Provide support in developing the LSEG Brand Strategy and architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assure Brand Governance and Guardianship: Oversee the development of tools, guidelines, training, and a governance framework to ensure consistency of brand implementation. Provide guardianship for the LSEG brand & Sub Brands.
  • Oversee Brand and Creative Strategy: Support the teams responsible for the brand and creative strategy for any LSEG-brand campaigns or the execution of branded activities or materials.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Collaborate with the cross-functional team to ensure effective and accurate implementation of the Brand Architecture. Work directly with senior leaders to build Brand into their strategies.
  • Drive Customer-first Creative Strategy: Lead the shift to a customer-first marketing strategy, supplying evidence to support the value and importance of thematic brand marketing while delivering results that support business goals.
  • Develop Theme-led Campaigns: Develop theme-led campaigns that are customer persona-oriented and the support of the Global Strategic Accounts through customised marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Cross Propositional Efforts: Pull together the different talents across marketing to support cross-propositional efforts and support incubation of themes until they are funded and brought into the team.
  • Design Multi-Year Brand Programmes: Design and produce multi-year, cross-divisional marketing programmes and campaigns around themes of importance to the LSEG brand and reputation.
Expertise/Knowledge:
  • Senior experience in Marketing & Communications, with specific technical experience in Brand Strategy, planning and implementation, rebranding, and creative direction.
  • Ability to translate the power of the brand into action, enabling LSEG to deliver on its strategic ambitions.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to turn strategy into effective execution.
  • Experience in leading transformation to a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to use deep customer understanding, using attitudinal and behavioural data to influence marketing strategy.
  • Extensive experience managing global and local customer campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Ability to empower and support team and leadership through change.
  • Experience of taking brands to market and influencing the marketing strategy across the business.
  • Able to advise and influence LSEG leadership decision-making around Brand Strategy and impact.
  • Extensive partner management and leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our annual incentive programme (AIP/ “bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
