Are you someone who has great listening skills and experience supporting vulnerable clients? We are looking for confident, but caring, candidates who can offer emotional support via our helpline to people experiencing Domestic Abuse?
About the role
Based in our Bradford office, this role will join our busy team who provide a high quality, proactive front door service and deliver a pathway of care focusing on immediate safety and initial support.
You will work as a member of the helpline team listening, providing emotional support and initial assessment of risk and needs to individuals who are experiencing domestic and/or sexual abuse (DSA). As part of the role you will assess individuals for, and refer on, within the partnership for the appropriate intervention identified.
Part time, 22.5 hrs 3 days Wednesday to Friday 9am to 5pm, £22,664 – £27,086 pro rata depending on DV experience/qualifications. Fixed term until 31st March 2025, pending further funding.
About you
We are looking for someone with a supportive background, who can confidently speak to people in distress. Do you have great listening skills and can gather information from people over the phone? We need someone who has a non-judgemental and empathic approach and is a great team player.
You will need to be able to deal with changing priorities and use problem solving skills effectively. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator both over the phone and able to write concise and accurate case notes. Experience of understanding safeguarding processes is essential as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
