We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team. The role is to mainly provide quality care to individuals in their own homes, maintaining their health and wellbeing and retain their independence.
Working as part of our care team you will be supporting people with their personal hygiene, meal preparation, domestic duties and food shopping. The ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge and experience working with service users in the community with diverse health & social needs from a vast age demographic. The candidate will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and companionship to our service users. The candidate will work closely with individuals and groups, helping them develop or retain essential life skills, access community resources, and navigate personal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting and supportive relationships with service users by providing guidance, supervision, companionship, and emotional support.
- Assist service users in setting achievable personal and social goals to help maintain normality of their activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement programs or activities to engage and empower service users.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of services users, including liaising with external agencies and community organisations.
- Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to youth development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions and progress -
Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
- Provide personalised care to clients, respecting their dignity, independence, and individual preferences.
- Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting and with mobility, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required.
- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide companionship to alleviate feelings of loneliness.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, or recreational activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental well-being to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment for clients' comfort.
- Administrative tasks include recording information on the visits.
