Role Essentials:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing ribs for a variety of marine vessels. Precision and attention to detail are paramount, as is a deep understanding of marine engineering principles. The individual will join a dedicated team, contributing to projects that demand both technical expertise and creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed drafts and designs for marine vessel ribs
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine design specifications
- Utilise CAD software to create accurate and functional designs
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on design progress
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Draftsperson within the marine sector
- Proficiency in CAD software, with a portfolio demonstrating previous work on marine projects
- Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes related to marine construction
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required
- HND, degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable
