We are excited to be recruiting for a Duty Manager based at Wisley.

Quality Assurance • To ensure the daily legal and company requirements are adhered to in respect of Hygiene, Health & Safety, Employment Law, and Food Safety Law for all staff, visitors and customers within their outlet.
• To ensure full catering services are provided as agreed within the client contract and in line with the demand of the business.
• To oversee the continuous organisation of work throughout the outlets in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service and profitable operations.
• To ensure all food and drink is organised in all the outlets to maximise efficiency in customer service.
• To ensure HACCP and allergen information along with other relevant documentation is legally compliant.
• To ensure all food and drink is served to the highest standards inline with those set by Senior Management and Company of Cooks.
• At times take full responsibility for quality assurance of the designated outlet.
• As and when needed to deputise for the Operations Manager.
• As and when needed hold team briefings.
Managing / Developing a Team • To ensure all employees in all outlets adhere to the correct standards of dress and appearance as stated in the ‘House Rules,’ and in line with Company of Cooks standards.
• To ensure through effective communication with Retail Outlet Managers that all outlet employees consistently demonstrate an excellent level of customer service, including selling techniques, merchandising skills, cleanliness and knowledge of any current promotions.
• To oversee the continuous effort of team members striving to exceed customer expectations.
• To help assess the relevant training needs for individuals, in consultation with department heads.
• To ensure the correct reporting of any misconduct and gross misconduct to the Operations Manager and at times raise the correct ticket with the People’s Team.
• To ensure all outlets are staffed appropriately on a daily basis at all times and at all levels.
• To assist in the compulsory online trainings for all team members.
• To lead in the creation of a positive and healthy work environment for all team members by setting the right personal example in the way duties are performed.
Financial Responsibility • To maximise sales generation through effective implementation of Company of Cooks marketing plans.
• To grow the business in all outlets through maximising uptake and spend per head.
• To maximise profit conversion through ensuring tight control of resources and cash control.
• To ensure every possible effort is made to achieve outlet turnover and profit targets.
• To lead the team members in ensuring all cash handling is in line with company procedures and requirements.
• To ensure all labour budgets are managed strictly in accordance with forecast, GP, and the overall P&L.
• To ensure that all legal and financial documentation regarding cash handling is administered in an effective and timely manner
Administration • Where necessary. ensure waste is managed effectively including the accurate recording and communications with the relevant kitchen staff, and other personnel.
• Help conduct stock takes, ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely manner in line with the demands of the business.
• Ensure all relevant administrative documents are available within the outlets and completed accurately.
• Ensure all end of day processes are adhered to in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure all opening procedures are adhered to in a timely and effective manner.
Security and Safety • Where and when necessary ensure compliance with all company information security procedures in all activities.
• Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager
• Report actual and suspected security incidents
• To keep up to date with all COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.
• To assist in the reporting of any equipment and / or building fabric fault and any hygiene, health and safety hazards to the relevant parties onsite and within Company of Cooks.
Other Responsibilities
• To attend training courses and other meetings as required by the company.
• To act as a resource for the Accounts Director, General Manager, and Operations Manager as and when required in various locations.
