Our client, Daytona Sandown Park, is hiring Race Directors/ Duty Managers to join their team.
Key Success Criteria for This Role Include:
- Race Direct (manage, monitor, and run) race events, delivering an entertaining and safe experience for customers.
- Act as a Duty Manager of the venue while managing the Track team, Front of House team, and customers professionally and effectively.
- Confidently conduct safety briefings to customers prior to race events.
- Demonstrate strict but fair race management from Race Control (training will be provided).
- Liaise with department heads to ensure events are executed at the highest level.
- Be fully conversant with the company’s computer booking and timing systems.
- Be fully knowledgeable of the Track Training Manual, NKA (National Karting Association) guidelines, and Employee Handbook.
- Assist with the induction and training of newly appointed Track staff while maintaining continued development for the existing team in accordance with Company and Statute requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to set high standards and lead by example at all times, demonstrating common sense and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, people management, and organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic with the ability to have fun while working.
- Drive and commitment to be successful and further develop skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
