Veritas Education is looking for an experienced, flexible, and resourceful Teaching Assistant in Early Years to cover maternity leave starting March 2024 or sooner if possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is looking for full-time work with the potential to remain a permanent member of this great primary school situated on the outskirts of Leeds city centre.
Role
- Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver excellent teaching and learning
- Supporting children on a 1:1 or group basis
- Creating learning opportunities for all students to reach their potential, irrespective of their abilities
- Playtime and lunchtime duties maybe required
- Supporting the class teacher in creating stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
Requirements
- GCSE maths and English or higher equivalent qualifications
- Recent or relevant experience working in a primary school setting or with children in another capacity
- A good understanding of phonics and Early Years reading
- A can-do attitude and the ability to take initiative
- Must hold an enhanced DBS or willing to apply for once upon registration
- Must be able to work in the UK
