We are assisting a building services maintenance service provider with their search for a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer. You will be working at a depot in the Bristol area.
Shift Pattern: M-F, 8-5
Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer Overview:
As the Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of electrical systems within our client's buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, safety, and efficiency of electrical equipment and installations.
You will be leading a team of 2 maintenance technicians who will report into you.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, generators, and emergency lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify faults, and implement timely repairs to minimise downtime.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and breakdowns, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and efficiency.
- Coordinate and work closely with the facilities management team to prioritise maintenance tasks and ensure optimal building performance.
- Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate maintenance records, update maintenance logs, and submit reports as required.
Requirements:
- Core electrical qualification (C&G / NVQ Level 3 - or equivalent) (Essential)
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in building services maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting (Essential)
- 17th/18th Edition (Essential)
