Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer - Data Centre

My client are seeking a number of qualified electricians / Maintenance Engineers who are wanting a new challenge, This position is based on a large critical site close to Farnborough. Working shift patterns 4 on 4 off 7am-7pm/7pm-7am. They are offering a generous salary, package and extensive training.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of Data Centre equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond to emergency issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Monitor and maintain Data Centre security, including access control systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve operational processes.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and service reports.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in building maintenance, ideally in a critical environment such as a Data Centre.
• Solid knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and fire suppression.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work continental shifts, including days and nights.
