Due to our continued success, we have a vacancy for an Electrical Technician to join our dedicated Wind Turbine Service team in Perth.
Overview of your role as Electrical Technician
ENERCON will provide you with an in-depth induction and training program covering the essential skills required for your role. Once completed, you will work as part of a 2-person team in your region.
Together with your co-worker, you will visit our wind farms based across multiple sites to maintain and repair Wind Turbines.
Overnight trips can be required from time to time throughout the UK and potentially within other European locations.
You will be required to climb the turbines on a daily basis and will need to be physically fit and comfortable working at height. Prior to commencing your role you will be required to complete a medical.
Your shift pattern is Monday to Friday, with on-call duties required every fourth weekend.
Your role and responsibilities
· Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety requirements and keep your training up-to-date
· Carrying out all electrical tasks required for the maintenance and proper operation of the Wind Turbines
· Installing and retrofitting of key components
· Diagnosing faults and reporting on electrical equipment
· Generating reports on ENERCON Wind Turbines and regularly producing digital reports for management
· Climbing Wind Turbines
· Completion of all electrical maintenance schedules efficiently and on time
· Carrying out risk assessments and method statements when necessary
· Ensure a high level of communication between Indoor Technicians and the Service Dispatch Coordinator
· Ensure a high standard of communication when interacting with our clients
· Report all issues efficiently and in a timely manner
· Carry out necessary work with 35KV (High Voltage) switching and perform any duty surrounding HV at the request of the Company
· You may be required to assist in mechanical tasks.
The key qualities and experience that we look for,
· Minimum SVQ / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
· Time served apprentice
· Previous turbine experience is beneficial
· Proficient IT skills including Microsoft applications
· A proactive, motivated, and resourceful team player
· A desire to learn and complete all relevant training and courses
· A positive attitude when working within a team
· A passion for Wind Energy and the importance of Health and Safety in the role
· Ability to work to strict deadlines and complete your work to the highest standards
· A full, valid UK driving license
What we offer you
· Your starting salary is £32,857 per annum, plus overtime and an over night allowance.
· Your hours of work are 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work on-call at the weekend, on a Rota basis.
· Overtime is paid at time and a half
· An overnight allowance is applicable when you are required to travel
· You will receive 33 days annual leave, (25 days leave, plus 8 public holidays)

Your salary banding is:
£32,857 per annum (Entry Level), up to £41,429 per annum (Expert level).
