A Tier 1 Global Investment bank is seeking an Engagement Manager to join their Commercial Banking Strategy team in London. The position reports directly to the Head of Commercial Banking Strategy and will play a key role in spearheading strategic initiatives that prioritise and optimise value for both the Commercial Banking business and the overall institution.
Key responsibilities:
Working with key internal and external stakeholders for Payments, Commercial Banking, and Group Functions, you will be responsible for:
* Driving strategy design that meets the evolving needs of clients and shareholders to shape the future of the business.
* Conducting comprehensive market, industry, and competitor analyses (including benchmarking) to provide robust insights for strategy definition.
* Facilitating the management and development of Associates and Analysts across the Strategy team
Key requirements:
* Proven experience leading strategy engagements within a top-tier Strategy Consultancy such as an MBB or Oliver Wyman
* Experience leading Payments, Commercial banking, Trade Finance or Fin tech engagements
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical, problem-solving and synthesis skills
* Extensive experience identifying key strategic opportunities, issues and themes which have material impact
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience managing, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders across all levels up to MD and C-Suite
