Enterprise Project Coordinator
This is a fixed term contract running until April 2025.
The Student and Graduate Enterprise team sits within the Careers and Employability Service. The Student and Graduate Enterprise team supports students and recent graduates who want to develop their enterprise skills, freelance, or start their own business or social enterprise, regardless of their background or chosen course. The team firmly believes that the development of enterprise skills is beneficial to all students and career routes.
The team also work to empower colleagues who are supporting enterprising students and graduates and their work is underpinned by a desire to have a positive, diversifying impact on the local and national enterprise community.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, delivering, and promoting projects and services that engage our students and graduates with enterprise opportunities.
Working in line with the Graduate Outcomes survey and key aims of the Careers Service, the successful candidate will work to establish graduate level careers, both through the development of enterprise skills which improve employability, and through encouraging entrepreneurship as an achievable graduate career.
This successful candidate will be accountable for:
- Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery on Enterprise Projects through workshops, experiential events and opportunities for funding.
- Delivering events, workshops and talks to students from across the university.
- Providing specialist advice for enterprise-curious students and graduates, working to enhance enterprise education and awareness of opportunities.
- Developing existing and building new relationships with businesses, alumni and external networks to increase enterprise-related opportunities for students and recent graduates.
- Engage students and graduates through targeted social media, email and in person marketing.
- Work alongside colleagues within the Careers Service and wider university to embed enterprise as part of their core employability offer.

About you:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Ability to manage and prioritise a complex, portfolio workload, solve problems and use own initiative appropriately.
- Comfortable and experienced with providing support and advice for students and graduates.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively online and in-person.
- Networking skills for the development and maintaining of relevant contacts.
