Environmental Health Officer x 2 – full time and part time roles available - EH0243
East Hampshire District Council are looking for qualified, ambitious and innovative EHO’s, to join our busy Pollution Team. We are pleased to be able to offer two opportunities - one part time permanent position for 22.2 hours per week and a full time maternity cover contract.
You will ideally have proven experience in the investigation of all types of nuisance complaints, responding to and providing advice for planning applications and licensing consultations, air quality issues and a variety of public health functions including drainage and public welfare burials.
Previous experience in a regulatory or public health environment is essential.
You must be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise your work. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to deal with a wide range of customers in different and sometimes challenging situations, as well as being a great team player.

The position will comprise a hybrid style of working, as a mix of both home and office-based working, to suit the work / life balance of the successful applicant. The Council is currently in the process of moving to new bespoke offices closer to Petersfield town center and the railway station which will offer us greater use of technology and better commute paths for our staff.
Many of our staff also work flexibly in different ways e.g. part-time, compressed hours and everything in between, please talk to us about the flexibility you may need to do this role.
