Location: Town Hall, 160 Whitechapel Road, LONDON
We offer a 35-hour week with the option to earn flexi time and approximately 6 weeks paid holiday depending on your public service experience.
Role Purpose
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Pollution Team. As an Officer with delegated authority, you will carry out a wide variety of function delivered by the team, gaining experience across environmental protection, including contaminated land, air quality and regulation of industrial processes and private water supply.
Using delegated powers and specialist skills (i.e. audit, inspection, enforcement powers, negotiation and persuasion) to gain and ensure compliance with Environmental Health legislation to achieve appropriate outcomes and improvements for our borough.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a degree in Environmental Health or Environmental Sciences.
You will have current knowledge and experience of environmental health legislations and enforcement relevant to pollution control.
