This business is headquartered in London and works closely with the other global offices in Chicago, Singapore and Luxembourg.
About the role:
This business believes that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles are crucial to developing resilient companies and assets that deliver long-term value for investors.
This role is focused primarily on enhancing ESG data coverage and quality, accelerating real estate decarbonisation and streamlining regulatory compliance processes. This role will strengthen the team with the addition of an experienced ESG strategy and reporting specialist to support the development and delivery of the approach to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with the Real Estate ESG team and other relevant teams to develop a centralised CSRD implementation plan, aimed at achieving compliance in a robust and efficient way.
- Guide portfolio companies in defining disclosure requirements consistently across asset classes, and where required, support the delivery of gap analyses and the setup of data collection systems and processes.
- Develop standardised templates and guidance materials to support portfolio companies in responding to qualitative requirements, for example, transition plans for climate change mitigation.
- Develop a tracker to enable CSRD compliance progress to be monitored clearly across all in-scope entities.
- Develop tools and resources to support training and upskilling on CSRD.
A bit about you:
- Experienced ESG reporting professional with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in consulting.
- Good understanding of the Real Estate investment industry.
- Comfortable with a pan-European scope.
- Excellent understanding of CSRD, including ESRS standards, topics, and disclosure requirements, as well as affiliated regulations including EU Taxonomy and SFDR.
