We are seeking an Estates Caretaker to join a welcoming and friendly team for a highly reputable and successful company.
As an Estates Caretaker your core tasks will include; cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying of litter bins, general estates up keep, gardening, general maintenance, polishing and dusting, fixtures and fittings, and using powered equipment.
Shift and Salary:Monday to Thursday 7am 3pm & Friday 7am 1pm. Guaranteed 37 hours per week. Temp to Perm position. GBP22,439.14 per annum / GBP11.66 p/h.
Location: Newton Abbot, Devon. United Kingdom.
Day to Day Duties:
- To carry out caretaking duties, clean communal and other areas as instructed by the Estate Services Manager / Estates Services Supervisor.
- To clean and maintain cleaning equipment as instructed.
- To ensure that the areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
- To comply with instructions relating to security and confidentiality and GDPR.
- Must be able to work as a Lone Worker and use initiative to complete your daily schedule.
- To collect and remove waste/rubbish from work area to collection point as directed.
- To ensure that materials are stored safely within COSHH guidance and Health & Safety regulations.
- To liaise and communicate with colleagues and appropriate departments.
- To communicate deal with all tenants and the general public in a friendly, cooperative and courteous manner.
- To carry out weekly and monthly checklists including lighting and ladder checks as directed by the Estate Services Manager / Estates Services Supervisor.
- To carry our Vehicle checks and ensure that the vehicle is in a safe condition and all fluid levels are correct.
- To input onto Microsoft forms all positive feedback received on site.
Qualifying Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS Adult work force. (Or happy to complete a DBS check immediately).
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
- Previous Caretaking experience.
Training:
- To attend relevant training and observe and comply with the company s Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction.
- To be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.
