Job Location: UK Flexible Location (Home or office) with occasional travel within the UK.
Salary: £36,000 based on 35 hours per week

Could you play a supporting role in delivering the British Red Cross’s Transforming UK Operations programme?
A day in the life of an Evaluation Officer will involve:
- Designing and delivering evaluation projects to support the Transforming UK Operations programme
- Deliver research projects to deepen our understanding of people using or delivering our services. .
- Communicate findings from research and evaluation to stakeholders at all levels in clear, accessible and persuasive ways.
- Work closely with service design and product teams to incorporate user research and evaluation findings into their work.
- To rapidly investigate service delivery issues as they arise to support real-time troubleshooting and improvement.
- Support the development of financial assessments of our delivery.
- Work with the Co-production team to ensure the principles of co-production and facilitate the safe involvement of people in our activities.
- Work closely with members of the evaluation team to align to existing best practice.
- Build positive relationships with our operational teams and act as an advocate for high quality data and evaluation.
- Educated to degree level in a social research discipline or have equivalent practical experience of social research disciplines.
- Proven analytical ability – both quantitative and qualitative.
- Experienced in applying analysis to a range of situations.
- Building strong and effective alliances and relationships.
- Communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with research methods and their application in a range of social and economic policy contexts.
- Proven ability to work to very tight deadlines in adynamic environment, with often changing and competing priorities.
- A thorough understanding/experience of using data, research and insight from to add value
- Experience of commissioning and managing external evaluators
