Harris Hill has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to join heritage based charitable organisation in Kent, covering maternity leave. This can start anytime between now and April, so upon your earliest availability.
This role is integral to the programme of events lined up this year as the organisation builds back its offering post pandemic. The Events Manager is responsible for preparing, planning and delivering events such as a 10k capacity fireworks display, summer concerts, and other events based around wildlife, education, curatorial and day visitors to the grounds.
Due to the nature of the role and organisation, we would need someone who can attend the office daily. There may be some flex for a day a week from home, depending on whats going on. To be considered, you will need to meet the following requirements.
Proven experience as a successful Event Manager in a large visitor attraction.
Creative thinker, with excellent organisational skills

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to tight timescales.
Confident communications and influencing skills
Experience of multi-functional teams.
A pro-active, can-do attitude.
As an experienced Events Manager, you will need to be able to show you have accurate and effective budgeting skills, able to produce business cases for each event, ensuring profitability of event is achieved.
You will have a solid understanding of regulations in Health & Safety requirements, and be able to maintain a safe operating environment for colleagues and for visitors.
