We are seeking a visionary leader to join us as the inaugural Executive Director of Distance and Digital Education at the University of London, the UK's leading provider of digital and blended distance education internationally. As the Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the university's distance educational offerings, delivered transnationally both online and through our recognised teaching centres. Our federation consists of seventeen independent members, working together to deliver the best education in London and across the world. Your mission will be to secure and expand our market share in the competitive digital landscape while ensuring the delivery of seamless, high-quality learning experiences for our students.

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, you will be a key member of the executive team, collaborating closely to execute our strategic vision. You will develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for growth, informed by market insights and collaboration with our federal members. Providing leadership across three critical directorates—Online Education, Student Services, and Global Business Development—you will drive a culture of excellence and accountability, setting clear performance targets and fostering a commitment to customer service.

You will champion agile operating methods to enhance responsiveness to student needs and market demands, diversifying our portfolio of courses and delivery modes to ensure scalability and sustainable growth. As a thought leader in the field of Digital Education, you will stay at the forefront of emerging EdTech trends, shaping our university's role as a global leader in the Digital Education landscape.

To excel in this role, you will bring extensive executive leadership experience in EdTech or higher education. You will have a proven track record of driving product development and fostering cross-sector partnerships. With strong people management skills, you will focus on inspiring excellence and collaboration, while also demonstrating strategic thinking and a passion for innovation. Your technical expertise in online education market trends and Digital learning strategies will be essential, as will your ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
