With Juno Oxton up and running succssfully, we're looking to open our second home, Juno Wallasey this summer.
We offer full-time, part-time and Bank positions, based on preference, and with the following salary bands:
Social care practitioner - £12.82/h (expected salary £29,000)
Senior social care practitioner - £14.42/h (expected salary £33,000)
Bank: £12/h
The shift pattern is one on, two off (24.5h shifts including a sleep-in)
The role
You will provide day-to-day care for children and young people living with us. You will quickly establish trusting relationships and support people in our care with their education, shared activities and their overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent quality of care
- Organising, participating in and planning shared activities and interests with children to nurture their wellbeing, learning and growth
- Working flexibly to meet changing demands and be willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities to ensure the safe day-to-day running of the home
- Taking responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of children, the workforce and visitors to the home by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment

Requirements for the role include:
- Optional: Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in Children's residential care
- Knowledge of children’s rights and of adolescent mental health, and therapeutic approaches
- Understanding of the risks and issues facing children in care and their families
