The Role
Lancaster City Council is recruiting for a Facilities Assistant within the Facilities Management team. You will provide administrative and reception support. Your responsibilities will include handling both external and internal customer enquiries, managing internal room bookings across multiple buildings, undertaking building monitoring checks on a regular basis, and offering valuable clerical support.
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and for this reason, you will be expected to be flexible in line with the needs of the business, as the role may vary from day to day. A professional approach is always required, and strong communication skills are essential.
This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 15.5 per week and the post is based at CityLab in Lancaster although there may be a requirement for the post holder to work across other City Council office locations throughout the district.
You may be required to work additional hours as and when needed which may include evenings, weekends, or bank holidays.
