We are seeking to appoint a reliable Facilities Assistantto work as part of our Site Team at Gledhow Primary School.
The successful candidate would ideally consider this role as their first step into School Caretaking. The Facilities Assistant will support the Site Superintendent with day to day cleaning (including 2 hours end of day cleaning), portering, security, health and safety and general maintenance duties.
This is a permanent ‘all year round’ contract and the working hours are predominantly:
Monday-Thursday – 11.00am to 7.00pm
Fridays – 11.30am to 7.00pm
Flexibility is required to cover the Site Superintendent’s holidays etc, where a split shift will be required ie 6am-12noon and then back in to lock up at 5.30pm-7pm. Likewise, when the Facilities Assistant is on holiday, then the Site Superintendent will undertake split shifts too, so this role is very much team working.
The role also includes locking up at the end of each day, with lone working a requirement. A Risk Assessment will be in place to support this.
This role will suit someone who requires a full time salary but with the option of taking holidays both in term time and in School holidays, to ensure there is enough cover across the site both in the holidays and in term time.
