BRC are working with a supported housing provider who are looking for an experienced facilities & administration coordinator on a temporary to permanent opportunity, responsible for the management of contracted services including cleaning contracts, facilities, maintenance and refurbishment
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing effective management of the housing management and administration functions within residential supported living services for those experiencing homelessness
- Deliver a full range of services covering facilities, maintenance, refurbishment, and facilities project scheduling
- Responsible for overseeing staff including maintenance, catering, admin and reception
- Review work performance of external and internal contractors
- Manage health and safety systems, recording safe working practices, fire records, COSHH and first aid
- Ensure that the service is cleaned to a high level meeting statutory requirements by effectively leading in-house or contracted staff
- Carry out inspections to ensure health and safety requirements are being met at the service including reviewing fixtures and fittings
- Monitor the cyclical repairs, planned maintenance and ensure all repairs are logged and resolved
- Monitor the financial processes and systems for the service, ensuring sound financial management and expenditure is within budget limits, writing and updating reports for the service manager
- Ensure that on-site catering services are effectively run to required Health and Safety and Food Hygiene standards - working with the service manager when required to manage contracted services
Job Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a varied administrative and/or facilities management role
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements relevant to building maintenance, COSHH and environmental health
- Basic DBS will be required
