Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our client's team. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in Facilities Management, offering expertise in leadership, project management, and budget oversight.
Duties and responsibilities
- Managing development projects that shape council business and improve working processes.
- Implementing policies, protocols, and procedures for building-related documentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Procuring, managing, and promoting city-wide secure document destruction and security contractor services.
- Approving procedures and policies for buildings where the Council is the daily manager.
- Providing advice on facilities management operations and health and safety processes.
- Representing the Council, dealing with media, and responding to FOI requests.
Skills and experience
- Minimum of five years in a Facilities Management management role.
- Experience in designing and auditing processes and procedures.
- Project management and budget oversight experience.
- Development and implementation of policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Management of large internal and outsourced operational teams.
- Understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience in contract management and dealing with non-compliance.
Desirable:
- Experience in working with internal customers and contract management.
- Familiarity with digital and automated advancements in Facilities Management technologies.
