A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Officer to join a leading Healthcare site to support their Estates Team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing a first-class building maintenance service to site. You will cover a range of project and scheduled maintenance works, ensuring the facilities are operating at their best.
Duties of the Facilities Officer to include:
- General building maintenance, including light plumbing works, carpentry, and door lock repairs.
- Assist engineers in unblocking drains when required.
- Support engineers in air conditioning repairs and servicing.
- Undertake minor building works, such as plastering, carpet laying, and installing shelves.
- First fix repairs to general hospital fabric fittings, including furniture, lockers, and windows.
- Painting, wallpapering, and decorating tasks.
- Monitor stocks and order paints, plumbing materials, shelving, and painting supplies.
- Undertake tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer.
Requirements for the successful candidate:
- Relevant training in Building Services (NVQ/City and Guilds).
- Proficiency in painting, decorating, wallpapering, carpentry, glazing, tiling, plastering, and assisting electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Healthcare industry.
