We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our safeguarding team in a large secondary school. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving life outcomes for all children, especially the most disadvantaged, and will believe in the potential of every child to achieve excellence.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure all students are safeguarded and receive the necessary support.
- Engage with children and families, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed.
- Act as a point of contact for families, offering a listening ear and empathetic support during vulnerable times.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate support services for families.
- Monitor and report on the progress of the support provided, ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding are maintained.
- Strong empathy and the ability to support families during challenging times.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in a similar role, working within safeguarding frameworks.
