The Position
We are currently looking for a Fashion Design Tutor to join our team in the portfolio preparation courses department asap. This is a freelance position and our portfolio tutors work on a one to one basis with our students to teach in person or live online. Our portfolio classes are meant to provide students with professional support and advice in their journey to build portfolios for academic and professional purposes.
Who Are You?
- Bachelor's degree is a requirement
- Knowledgeable in the history of Fashion Design
- Expert of garment structure and construction
- Extensive knowledge of materials and fabrics
- Prepare and organise adequate lessons for students who need to build up a body of work for university applications
- Committed to deliver a constant up to date subject knowledge
- Participate in and organise extracurricular activities and workshops that can be located outside of the premises of the studio
- The ideal candidate should have an advanced portfolio and body of works
- Excellent communication skills
- Three-four years of experience in the fashion industry is an advantage
The hours are flexible as we have classes during the day and early evening as well as weekends. This means that you will be able to purse your other commitments outside of the centre. Hours per week may vary from usually 4-6 to 8-10 during very busy periods.
Pay Rate and Benefits
- The pay rate is of £20 per hour.

Your work must show your abilities with Fashion Design techniques and ideas. It will also be used to assess your abilities to coherently and purposefully assemble a body of work.
