I am currently supporting my client who are market leaders in bespoke industrial equipment within the automotive industry. They now have a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer to join their team in the South of England, ideally around Luton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, or Northampton. The successful Field Service Engineer will travel to customer sites carrying out installations, service, repairs, and maintenance on the company’s equipment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an expanding, successful manufacturing, and engineering company in a niche industry. This would suit an engineer who likes variety and flexible working, travelling to customer sites but enjoys being home most evenings, - please note, you may be required to stay away from home overnight when working on large installation projects so flexibility will be needed, however this averages 1 week every month and all expenses will be paid.
Field Service Engineer Requirements:
- Hold a recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification - level 3 as a minimum.
- Ideally hold 18th edition.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills with an interest in problem solving.
- Experience working with 3 phase pumps/motors would be beneficial.
- An understanding of water systems, plumbing and filters would be advantageous.
- Candidates must be self-motivated with the ability to work using own initiative.
- Efficient planning and organisation skills.
- IT literate.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
Field Service Engineer Benefits:
- Salary is up to £50,000.
- Monday to Friday - 9:00 to 17:00 framework, flexible hours offered.
- Company van, mobile phone, laptop, tools and uniform provided.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Company pension scheme.
- Expenses for hotel and meals when required for overnight stays.
- Bonus Scheme
Note - My client encourages applications from candidates from both commercial and ex-military backgrounds; Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force with an electrical or mechanical engineering bias.
