Finance Accounting Technician

The Role will consist of:

• Develop and maintain the organisations finance procedures manual and training programs for staff.
• Provide initial systems training and financial advice to the Finance Team, budget holders, and other staff.
• Manage and supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Cashier, and Purchasing staff.
• Ensure efficient and effective performance and uniform standards within the finance department.
• Serve as system administrator for the accounting system and manage daily QLS interface reconciliations.
• Process credits and refunds and handle legal actions on overdue debt.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, other teams, and pursue continuous professional development.

The Person

• As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
• Be a member of IATI or AAT or equivalent

OR

• Have had at least 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years working within a finance office which must include at least 2 of the following: General ledger, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Purchasing and Payroll

AND

• Applicants must have held a post of responsibility supervising at least 1 member of staff within a finance office in the last 3 years
