Position Overview:
We are seeking a Finance Administration Assistant to join our client’s dynamic team and support our underwriting department in the office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a fundamental understanding of financial processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the lending activities and play a crucial role in helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the underwriting team, including managing documentation, filing, and data entry tasks.
Loan Application Processing: Assist in processing loan applications by verifying information, organising documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communication: Liaise with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders to collect necessary information and resolve queries in a timely manner.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications, approvals, and disbursements using internal systems.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of loan documentation to identify discrepancies, errors, or missing information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support Underwriting: Aid underwriters in assessing loan applications by gathering relevant financial data, performing basic financial analysis, and preparing reports as needed.
Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the loan processing and underwriting process.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to a positive working environment.
Requirements:
Experience: Finance or administration experience in a similar role.
Administrative Skills: Strong organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial concepts and terminology, including financial statements and credit analysis.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist others as needed.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with the in-house financial software, Brightoffice or databases is advantageous.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
