a Leading European Renewable Developer is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their UK team in Edinburgh and support their growth objectives through both Greenfield development projects in onshore wind, Solar and BESS as well as M&A activities.
Role Objectives:
- Create and maintain financial models, to assess the profitability of development and M&A opportunities for wind, solar and BESS projects in Europe.
- Understand the key factors that impact a project's profitability, carry out sensitivity tests and propose optimisations
- Prepare presentation and financial information for investment boards and boards of directors.
- Help negotiate transactions and take part in the financial due diligence process for acquisitions, working closely with the M&A team.
- Support Finance and Accounting departments in modelling financing operations and structuring projects.
- Monitor the profitability of projects once they have been approved.
- Participate in internal working groups and contribute to the optimisation of financial analysis methods, tools and processes.
Role Requirements:
5-year degree from a business school or a university course with a specialisation in Economics/Finance.
At least 3 years' professional experience in the renewable energies sector, and sound knowledge of finance and modelling.
Perfect command of Microsoft Office and a good knowledge of UK tax and accounting rules
