SALARY: £26,980 - £28,400
LOCATION: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days a week) in our Edinburgh (New Uberior House) Office
About this opportunity
An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen in our Reporting & Controls (R&C) team, delivering Cost & Investment Reporting, although there is an expectation that the role will be flexible and support across the wider team, where demand requires.
Finance is key to that success by securing and building the financial strength and performance of the Bank. In the Centre of Excellence (CoE) we provide a service dedicated to enabling and serving Finance Business Partners, made up of three teams: the Planning and Analysis (P&A) team, the R&C team, and the Performance Improvement (PI) team.

What you'll be doing:
- Produce standard reporting and management information packs for both BAU & Investment cost base including Flash, Month End, Planning.
- Maintain a robust financial control framework including preparation of Month End Journals, Reconciliations and Reporting & Control
- Continuously promote and embed a culture of process improvement within the team, look for opportunities to further standardise, centralise and improve the reporting output
- Build and maintain regular contact and strong working relationships with key partners.

What you'll need:
- Good technical and numerical skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Some prior exposure to process improvement activity.
- Competent user of Finance systems and software.
- A self- starter who can prioritise their work efficiently
- An adept communicator, with well-honed written, presentation and verbal communication skills
