We are seeking an Office Manager with a strong accounts background to join our well-established and growing business. The role is a dynamic blend of accounts management (60%) and Office administration (40%), perfect for a candidate who excels in multitasking and has a passion for both financial and operational excellence.
Day to day of the role:Accounts:- Supervise and support the accounts team, monitoring workload and output to ensure efficiency.
- Manage customer queries and complaints, escalating as necessary and thinking creatively to resolve issues.
- Oversee the purchase ledger, processing invoices, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Collaborate with the finance team to meet month-end deadlines and maintain the company’s financial performance.
- Ensure optimal business operations, implementing policies and procedures to improve operational flow.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to support business activities.
- Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day office activities, responding to requests and questions.
- Keep management regularly informed of office operations and any potential issues.
- Proven experience in credit control and sales ledger.
- Advanced proficiency in Sage 50 or Sage 200.
- Expertise in Excel.
- Solid background in office management.
- Exceptional time-management, multitasking, and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency with office applications and a quick learner for new software and systems.
- Ability to handle confidential company information with discretion.
- Keen attention to detail and a problem-solving approach to work.
