We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our small Credit Control team as a Finance Apprentice (credit control / invoicing). This amazing team at Medstrom will support you from the very first day and will guide you in acquiring new skills and knowledge.

As our Finance Apprentice, you will join us at our modern, fully-refitted Head Office in Castle Donington, Leicestershire/ Derbyshire border.
Our Head Office location has great transport links, on a regular bus route from Derby, Nottingham, and Leicester.

Your Role
As a Finance Apprentice, you will be based within our friendly Finance and Credit Control team and provide much needed support to the department, supporting day-to-day administration duties and projects if required.
- Support with Credit Control – chase invoices, produce reports, send customer statements
- Assist with sending out monthly statements
- Support with monthly rental invoicing – preparing and posting invoices
- Assist with monthly accounts preparation
- Sending out letters
- Taking credit card payments
Working hours: Monday to Friday approx. 8.30am – 5pm (we can be flexible to fit around travel)
You will be enrolled onto the Credit Controller and Collector Level 2 qualification, delivered in the workplace and online.
About You
To be considered as a Finance Apprentice, you will need:
- GCSEs at level 4 (grade C) or above in Maths and English (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in Finance or Credit Control
- Excellent administration and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work
- Personable, presentable and articulate
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Flexibility and the willingness to do what’s required and support the team
- High attention to detail
- The ability to communicate to internal and external customers, both verbally and written
